Shear Comfort Natural Medical Sheepskin Overlay

The Shear Comfort Natural Overlay is a medical sheepskin made from real sheep’s wool, like all Shear Comfort products. It retains a traditional sheepskin shape for a natural look and comes with the leather backing. The sheep’s wool is very comfortable and feels great on the skin. The Natural Overlay can be used in places where comfort is needed, such as in bed or in a chair.

As this overlay retains a traditional sheepskin shape, sizes can vary.

  The sheep’s wool is soft and thick and comes on a natural sheepskin backing.
• Can be used anywhere and on any surface
  Since these overlays retain their natural shape, they can be used either in bed or on chairs, armchairs, or wheelchairs for a snug fit.
• Healthy microclimate for the skin
  Wool takes up to 30% of its weight in water vapour without feeling moist. The air trapped between the wool fibres allows heat and moisture to dissipate.
• Can aid quality sleep
  Wool, being a natural material, gives a quieter more comfortable night’s sleep than when lying on a plastic-based product.  In addition, a study in 1984 reported that a wool underlay decreased restlessness and improved sleep quality.
• High density wool for added comfort
  The Shear Comfort Natural Overlay is a medical sheepskin which has high density wool providing pressure redistribution and added comfort.
